I’m a pawrent too. Walk down any pet aisle and you’ll see treats and food that look great, with nice packaging, clever marketing and words like “natural” and “premium”. Then you flip the bag over and the ingredient list tells a different story. Some are fine. Some are made to appeal to us humans rather than to what a dog actually needs. And some are straight out rubbish.
Most of us have no easy way to tell which is which. I didn’t either, and that’s why SnoutScan exists.
SnoutScan gives you a quick ballpark read on a dog food or treat label. Paste the ingredients or snap a photo of the label, and in a few seconds you get a score out of 100 and a plain answer: is this okay, not okay, or not worth your money?
Think of it as a gauge to jump start your own judgement. It helps you ask better questions before you buy.
SnoutScan is not professional or veterinary advice in any way. It reads the label, the same one you can read, and applies a fixed set of rules that you can see in full in How SnoutScan scores dog food. It doesn’t know your dog, their health or how a food is made. If your dog has a health condition, or you’re planning a big change to their diet, talk to your vet.
